Hello! Why does it have to range between 10 and 255 characters?
Hello. So yeah, I have registered as Kakkarot (Goku) so lol don't know if I can be him but hopefully ... Anyway, hope this site is as good as its expectations and stays as active as the other DBZ site I am already on Looking forward to the launch.

That's cool, I would expect competition for a character like Goku. Is it possible for an Admin to change my name to just Kakkarot/Goku? Or am I better off waiting till I actually know I can have Goku in August lol
Edit: Just seen I can request for it to be changed

Just so you know, this place is just for passing time, until the rpg is launched lol. This forum was really designed with FAQ intentions, however of course people are having fun rp'ing right now.

There will be a lot of people that will want goku and probably not come on ever again. We're thinking about competitions.

(turles leave this here until i've received couple of replies from Goku at least )KakkarotGoku wrote:Oh, so once the real site is up I will not be Goku and will re-register? Or is there a way to reserve
To answer your first question, the answer is correct, once the real site's up, sadly you won't be goku, and you will have to re-register. This is really an FAQ forum, but role play, discussion and chatting is set in place so that people have something to do while they wait for the real thing.
Secondly, I can understand that you want the name Kakarot over Goku, however when the real thing starts, there are 2 types of character accounts. There's the custom character account, and if you register with that you can set it to whatever name you want that's not taken (which means if kakarot wasn't taken, or kakkarat wasn't taken you can set your name to that) and then there's the canon character account. The canon character account is different then the custom in 2 ways. Way #1 - canon accounts from the role play sense, have a great connection to the characters from the dbz world and Way #2 canon accounts have a few extra set of features on them then that enrich the player's overall experience. Therefore even before someone can come and claim a canon character, its already reserved in the system, which is why people can try and register for the name goku/trunks/gohan/kakarot/etc but they won't get them, not unless they're able to reserve them. Soo, what that means is the canon characters are limited. On top of that it means that the number of available canon character accounts is equal to the number of characters you've seen in the dragonball, dragonballz, and dragonball gt, tv-series, movies, and rare ovas. Now, a lot of people have registered for custom accounts and are probably only going to come back and visit the site on the 21st when i announce the launch date. Those people weren't really digging for more information about the site, they just come and go. So what I did because of that was, I said, I'd give canon accounts to a select few who appeared to be more determined then those people. Obviously the select few people are pretty hardcore and are a bit more into it so its only more fitting that they got something better. As far as advantages, you might ask, what are the advantages of a canon account, over a custom account?
-Canon & Custom - issue
First canons don't get stronger faster then customs. When it comes to learning moves, growing in power, getting such and such item, the canon and custom accounts are on the same playing field. It's fair all around in that department.
The benefit to having a canon account over the custom account is strictly from the role playing sense.
-First the site has a series of NPCS (Special Characters from the series that act based on a script) , canon accounts can trigger off NPCs more often then custom accounts can. This leads to a more enriched dbz experience
- Second, For every canon account, there exists a built in NPC. What that means is, if someone chose Frieza as their canon account, there already exists a Frieza NPC character. That frieza npc character would mostly be in charge of the frieza saga, or in charge of some other things to dictate how the game world will run for some period of time. However, the interesting thing is, I've allowed it that a canon character can not only destroy their NPC counterpart, but assume a lot of their positions. For example, on earth the Kami npc is in charge of the earth dragonballs, if Kami dies the dragonballs die with him. IF there is a canon Kami character player, they can now challenge the Kami NPC and if they destroy their npc counterpart, they can assume the NPCs responsibility although there are limits applied. This does not effect how much power they'll get, how fast they grow, nor how they can or cannot role play with others, but it does effect some other aspects of the world.
Now I haven't fully decided, how I'm going to give out the remaining canon character accounts, but I'll figure something out that's nice and fair.
